Acafandom & Beyond

This week launches a conversation at Henry Jenkins’ blog entitled “Acafandom and Beyond” in which a wide, interdisciplinary range of scholars will talk about the stakes and issues involved in doing work that complicates traditional academic notions of objectivity through affect or situated knowledege–many of the issues that I had on my mind for my last post here, following our Acafan workshop at SCMS.

The first week of the Acafandom and Beyond project consists of a conversation between myself, Sam Ford, and Anne Kustritz. The first part is up now and is also mirrored at Dreamwidth. Please join in the conversation, either at the blog or at dreamwidth! We would love to see the conversation spread and grow beyond the initial participants.

I hope you’re having a great week with the upcoming release of part two of the Deathly Hallows! My name is Harrison and I work with We are an online library of over 2100 films, free for audiences to stream. I just wanted to let you know that a film that you may be very interested in, “We Are Wizards”, is now available for free streaming via this link:

Please consider spreading the word about this film either on or through your website. There is an embeddable link on the linked page I’ve provided. Please feel free to also email me back with any questions, and if you decide to use it so we can send it out through our network for cross promotion! Given the timely release of the film, this would be a tremendous opportunity for both of us!

    Thank you for your time,
