Media Temporalities and Digital Dress Up

Quite a few things to update since I last posted. Most recently, Julie Levin Russo put together this terrific slidecast of our Media in Transition panel on Media Temporalities. I was thrilled to participate in this panel, and was impressed by how the different essays spoke to one another. And so now I’m very pleased that they’re up online, podcasts, slideshows and all!

I also am very happy to be able to link to my contribution to Cinema Journal’s In Focus section on Gaming, “Playing Dress-Up: Digital Fashion and Gamic Extensions of Televisual Experience in Gossip Girl’s Second Life” Cinema Journal 48, Number 3, Spring 2009, pp. 116-122. It was an honor to be included in this thoughtful examination of the intersection between film, television, and gaming.
